Facts About Dried Products

Infra red drying is fairly new in the food and agricultural field.
It has been proven that infra red energy can dry or dehydrate objects very efficiently and retain desirable qualities such as neutraceuticals, and colour.

Infra red energy has also been proven to dry down, roast or toast grains while killing bacteria such as salmonella and kill insect eggs or larva. Heating the grain or tempering prior to milling will increase the milling throughput or yield.

Added to this infra red heat can be used in industrial areas such as paint drying or heating in dangerously dusty (explosive) conditions. Canadian Drying Technologies uses flameless heat so there is no open flame to come in contact with volatile dusts or compounds.
